Why Solano Home exists
Solano Home is run from Point Cook, on Melbourne's western side, by a small team. We started it after one too many outdoor pieces that looked nothing like their photos, took two months to arrive, and left us dealing with an overseas seller who had no idea what "business days" meant in Australia. Solano Home is the store we wanted to shop from: outdoor furniture, garden beds, planters and greenhouses, shade and shelter, outdoor lighting, outdoor cooking and fire, summer cooling and pool gear, and a few smaller indoor pieces — sourced from partners who hold real stock in Australian warehouses, so most orders arrive in days, not months.
Where things ship from
Most of what you'll find here ships from Australian warehouse partners, which is what lets us quote honest delivery windows and keep prices fair, without long-haul international shipping baked into every price. A smaller range of larger or more specialised pieces ships from an overseas warehouse partner; these are always labelled "Imported range" on the product page, with their own delivery estimate, before you order.
How we choose what we stock
Every product goes through the same checks before it's listed: we look at the actual specifications, not just the marketing copy, read through supplier and buyer reviews, and think about whether it'll hold up to Australian sun, wind and rain rather than a milder overseas climate. If we wouldn't put it in our own backyard, it doesn't go on the site.

Every order is backed by your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and by a straightforward 30-day change-of-mind policy, with no fine print designed to wear you down.
